The William Benton Museum of Art, Connecticut's official state museum, is also located on the Storrs campus, and offers a changing series of visiting exhibits as well as locally curated exhibits drawn from the Museum's permanent collection.

The Benton Museum also hosts the annual faculty and MFA graduate exhibitions. Recent Benton exhibits have included "Prints of the Ancien Regime: French Prints of the 16th to 18th Centuries," "Elyssium: A Gathering of Souls/New Orleans Cemeteries," "Photographs by Sandra Russell Clark," "Saluting the Spirits: Voudou Flags of Haiti," and "Cummings & Good in Connecticut."
