Professor Kathryn Myers has been teaching at the University of Connecticut since 1984. Her current figurative paintings as well as photographs and digital works are primarily based on research in the art and culture of India. She has exhibited her work in venues in the United States, Europe and Asia; including recent exhibitions at, Aurodhan Gallery, Pondicherry India, Fundacao Oriente, Panaji, India, Lenore Gray Gallery, Providence, RI and the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, CT.
Awards, Fellowships and artist’s residencies include The Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation, Fundacao Valpraiso, a Fulbright Fellowship to India, and Connecticut Commission on the Arts Individual Artist’s Grant. She has curated several exhibitions on South Asain art and serves on the board of the University of Connecticut India Studies program. |
